3.  Make sure your ÒWhiteÓ and ÒLinesÓ layers are toggled off and your ÒLinesÓ and ÒPhotoÓ layers are locked.  The ÒPhotoÓ layer is the only one visible.

4.  On the ÒColorÓ layer, use the eye dropper to sample color from your original ÒPhotoÓ layer.  It will change the foreground color in your toolbox.

5.  Paint over the entire image, copying and sampling color throughout.  Reduce and increase the brush size for smaller and larger areas of similar color.

Save frequently.

DAY FOUR FIVE AND SIX

1.  Finish your coloring layer.

DAY SEVEN

1.  Today you must complete your self-portrait and put a copy on Miss FortmanÕs memory stick.  But firstÉ You MUST flatten your image.  To do this, you will hide all layers except the color layer (and white layer if you want).  Then go to the Layers menu and select ÒFlatten ImageÓ at the bottom of the menu.

WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED WITH THIS STEP, LET MISS FORTMAN KNOW.

2.  You may wish to play with the filters and image adjustment options to create some interesting affects on your image.  If you do so BE SURE TO CREATE LAYERS first.

3.  To do the above, Copy the ÒColorÓ layer and name it ÒImage AdjustÓ.  I would recommend starting with the FilterÕs Menu. Flatten your ÒfilteredÓ image and save Name it (yourname.filter) it to your desktop. Drag it to FortmanÕs memory stick.
